Catalog philosophy

Measured stones, documented precisely

Every stone in our catalog is measured for carat weight, examined for cut proportions, and described by its color and clarity as we see it. We record origin and cut plainly, without embellishment, so you can compare one specimen against another.

Inspection workflow

How each stone is verified

Each stone is first weighed on a calibrated scale to establish its carat weight, then examined under magnification to assess its cut angles and symmetry. Color is judged under neutral, controlled light so that hue and saturation are recorded as they appear, not as they might appear under warm or theatrical lighting.

Where a stone's origin or treatment history is known, we state it as supplied. Where it is not, we say so. Our listings are updated when inventory changes, and we prefer an accurate, modest description to a sensational one.
